TURNBERRY GOLF CLUB
The Ailsa Championship course at Turnberry is renowned throughout
the world. Many famous golfing legends have played here
and the British Open has been won here in the past by players
like Nick Price, Tom Watson and Greg Norman. The Open Championship
returned here in July 2009.The course is also famous for
the splendour of it's views over the Firth of Clyde towards
Arran and Ailsa Craig. |

TURNBERRY KINTYRE COURSE
The Kintyre Course is the other course attached to Turnberry
Links and the Turnberry Hotel. Although not as famous as
it's "big brother" it still offers a serious test
of links golf with superb fairways and greens and of course
with the magnificent views again over the Firth of Clyde. |

ROYAL TROON GOLF CLUB
Royal Troon is very famous for being one of the best links
courses in the world. It has hosted the Open Championship
on many occasions and many famous faces have graced this
course. It provides many challenging holes and the narrow
fairways and strategically placed sandtraps invite trouble
for any wayward shots. |

PORTLAND GOLF COURSE
The Portland Course is situated right next door to Royal
Troon. It is an excellent links course and provides a real
test to the higher handicapper who would maybe consider
Royal Troon too tough. It is a considerably shorter course
than Royal Troon but the four par 5's on the second nine
holes will challenge even the lowest handicapper. |

BRUNSTON CASTLE GOLF CLUB
Brunston Castle Golf Course near Girvan is quite a new course
set in Parkland quite near to Turnberry and Girvan. It provides
a stiff test of golf at any level and is surrounded by beautiful
Ayrshire countryside. The facilities are also highly commendable
and include a driving range, which is floodlit and also
covered. |

LARGS GOLF CLUB
Largs Golf Club in Largs is a lovely course situated on
the Ayrshire Coast but is in fact more of parkland course
than links. A couple of the holes are elevated and provide
panoramic views over the Firth of Clyde to the Isles of
Millport and Arran. It is indeed a very pleasant course
to play and not too long and demanding. |

PRESTWICK ST. CUTHBERTS GOLF
CLUB
Prestwick St. Cuthberts golf course is purely parkland and
both the lower and high handicapper will be able to enjoy
a nice relaxing round over this very pleasant course. Set
inland from the sea in the town of Prestwick it features
a few doglegs and some challenging greens. |

PRESTWICK ST. NICHOLAS GOLF
CLUB
Prestwick St. Nicholas Golf Club is a pure links course
and has been established for nearly 150 years. It provides
a memorable golfing experience as the course is extremely
well kept and is a challenge to both high and low handicap
golfers. The views over the sea towards Arran and Ailsa
Craig only add to the attractions of this scenic golf course. |

WEST KILBRIDE GOLF CLUB
West Kilbride Golf Club near Largs is set in very scenic
surroundings and a few of the holes run alongside the beach
and the sea. It is considered one of Ayrshire’s championship
courses and is a true test of golf for even the lower handicapper.
The views over the Firth of Clyde are again a major feature
along with a very welcoming clubhouse and 19th hole. |
DUNDONALD GOLF CLUB
Dundonald Golf course near Troon is the sister course of
Loch Lomond golf club and has been designated as one of
the best new courses in the world. Although relatively new
it has soon built a reputation for excellence and has already
hosted some prestigious events and has acted as a qualifier
for the Senior British Open Championship. It is set in a
natural links setting and a round on this course is a memorable

CASTLE GOLF CLUB
Set amidst the splendour of the grounds of Rowallan Castle
and the rolling Ayrshire countryside, Rowallan is indeed
a gem of a course. Designed by Colin Montgomerie, Rowallan
has only recently opened in 2010 and is already attracting

WESTERN GAILES GOLF CLUB
A round of golf at Western Gailes Golf Club in Irvine is
a truly memorable experience. It is a traditional links
course and is situated across the Railway Line from Dundonald
golf course. The views from the Tees can be quite spectacular
and accuracy off these tees is a must if you are to avoid
the gorse that lines the fairways. It is also a British
Open Qualifying course and has hosted many events including
the Curtis Cup. |

Bogside Golf Club in Irvine is commonly known as the Irvine
Golf Club. Designed by James Braid over 80 years ago this
links course provides a challenge to all level of golfers
and the gorse and heather which abounds the course will
ensure total concentration off the tee. It is also a British
Open Qualifier for both Turnberry and Troon. |

DARLEY GOLF CLUB
Darley golf course in Troon is a serious test of golf for
players of all levels and is highly recommended to play.
It is a very scenic mixture of both links and parkland.
Many of the holes require accuracy and any wayward shots
off the tee will be punished by landing in the gorse, which
abounds most of the fairways. A lovely course in lovely

GOLF CLUB
Fullarton golf course in Troon is a very pleasant par 66
course which is ideal for the higher handicapper and the
more serious golfer who may want to iron out some flaws
in their game. A pleasant stroll round this links course
is guaranteed. |

GIRVAN GOLF CLUB
Situated not far from Turnberry, Girvan Golf Club is a delight
to play. Suitable for all handicappers it is a mixture of
both links and parkland. The first eight holes run alongside
the beach with stunning views over the Firth of Clyde and
the other ten holes are played in pure parkland. |

LOCHGREEN GOLF CLUB
Lochgreen golf course in Troon used to be a qualifier for
the British Open Championship. It is very popular with visitors
and locals alike and the par 74 course is considered to
be one of the best in Ayrshire. It is mostly all links and
at certain places on the course the links of Royal Troon
golf club run adjacent and are only a few hundred yards
away. |

SEAFIELD GOLF CLUB
Seafield golf course in Ayr is situated next to Belleisle
Golf course and is part of the same beautiful surroundings
of Belleisle Country estate. Although not as long as it’s
more famous neighbour it still provides an excellent test
of golf and is suitable for both high and low handicap golfers
who may want a morning warm up before a more testing afternoon
